SAPPHIRE

 Description:

Sapphire is a superior window material with excellent transparency and thermal properties. It also exhibits excellent physical and chemical properties. It is chemically inert and insoluble in almost everything and it can be scratched only by few substances (such as diamond or boron nitride) other than itself.

Features:
l  High transmittance from 1.5um to 6um in the middle infrared;
l  Good thermal properties, excellent electrical and dielectric properties.

Applications:
l  UV and IR Optics;
l  Windows for High Temperature and Pressure, Corrosion Resistance, Abrasion Resistance;
l  Heat Sinders and Thermocouplers; Semiconductor Wafer Carriers;
l  Electrical Insulators;
l  Thin Film Deposition;
l  Transparent Electronic Substrate;
l  Silicon on Sapphire Wafers; Superconductor Substrate;
l  Substrate material, IR optics windows, Aerospace, analytical and medical applications.
