YAG

 Description:

Undoped YAG crystal is a new substrate and window material that can be used for both UV and IR optics. It is particularly useful for high temperature and high-energy applications. YAG crystal shows no trace absorption in the 2-3 mm H2O band. The mechanical and chemical stability of YAG crystal is similar to Sapphire. Sapphire is slightly birefringence, but YAG crystal is not birefringence and is available with high optical homogeneity.

Features:
l  Wide transmission range: transmission in 0. 25 - 5.0 μm, no absorption in 2 -3 μm;
l  Extremely hard and durable;
l  High thermal conductivity, 10 times better than glasses;
l  High bulk damage threshold;
l  High index of refraction and Non-birefringence.
